Job description:

Financial Operations:

Oversee the day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash flow management;

Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, management accounts, and other financial documentation.

Compliance and Risk Management:

Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, including HMRC requirements, VAT, and corporate tax obligations;

Oversee the firm’s internal audit process and implement robust financial controls to mitigate risks;

Manage the firm’s insurance policies and ensure adequate coverage for all business activities.

Client Support:

Provide financial management services to key clients, including financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management;

Advise clients on financial best practices, tax planning, and regulatory compliance;

Support client audits and provide financial insights to assist in strategic planning and decision-making;

Team Leadership:

Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development;

Coordinate with the firm's partners to ensure alignment of financial strategies with business objectives.

Lead the recruitment and training of finance staff, ensuring the team has the skills and knowledge to meet the firm’s needs.

Strategic Financial Management:

Assist in the development and execution of the firm’s long-term financial strategy, aligning with business goals and growth plans.

Evaluate potential investments, acquisitions, or expansion opportunities, providing financial due diligence and analysis.

Monitor market trends and economic indicators to inform the firm’s financial planning and strategy.

What you must possess;

Person specification:

• Minimum 3+ year experience as an Financial Accountant

• ACCA qualified/FCCA Member

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

• Capacity to work independently and collaboratively.

• Proven experience managing accounting and finance teams.

• In-depth knowledge of UK financial regulations and compliance standards

• Proficiency in financial software.

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends
